Question.3587 - Assignment #6 Learning SPSS can be challenging, so this weeks assignment is designed to give you more practice running and interpreting some of the most important statistical analyses we will be using later in the course. 1. Ive uploaded a new dataset. The files name is: PSYC 300 Practice Data Fall 24.sav 2. Save this file to your desktop. (You can encounter problems running SPSS analyses if you dont). 3. Double click on the file, which will open SPSS. Alternatively, open SPSS and then open this new dataset. 4. Run the following analyses. Report and interpret the results, as I demonstrated in Module 5 (see Quiz Yourself SPSS Examples With Answers). If I prompt you to answer specific questions, make sure to do so. Save and send me two files: 1. Your SPSS output exported as a PDF. 2. Your typed/written responses for each analysis. Here are the analyses and their respective point values for Assignment #6: 1. (1 pt) Correlate AQ01, AQ02, AQ03, and AQ04. Report and interpret the association between AQ01 and AQ04. 2. (1 pt) Conduct an independent samples t-test comparing CAMPUS (1,2) on PCL17. Report and interpret the results. 3. (2 pts) Run a one-way ANOVA comparing ETHNIC on DES01. Report and interpret the overall results. Then report and interpret the post-hoc comparison for Caucasians vs Asians. 4. (6 pts) Run a 2 x 2 mixed ANOVA to examine story recall for college students on two campuses (Hayward, San Jose) under two story content conditions (Neutral, Scary). Use CAMPUS as the BS IV. Create a WS IV called CONTENT. Use RECALL_NEUTRAL and RECALL_NEGATIVE scores as the two levels when creating this variable. Report the F and p values for the Main Effect for CAMPUS, the Main Effect for CONTENT, and the CAMPUS x CONTENT Interaction. Also state whether each of these three effects are statistically significant. Make sure to watch my SPSS video demonstrations and refer to my SPSS Examples With Answers sheet. Let me know if you have any questions or difficulties.
