Be sure you cite correctly and give credit for all information that you receive from another topic. • Now, regardless of your chosen rhetorical strategy, you must adhere to several requirements. Before submitting/ writing this essay, you will submit an acceptable outline for your essay. This outline must be approved before you write the essay. An instructional folder will contain the info on how to write an outline for this class. Even if you studied outlines in high school, please review this folder and the exemplary model Do not write out the paper and place Roman numerals by paragraphs, passing it off as an outline. If you write the essay and place numerals beside each paragraph, you will receive a low score on the outline. Jot down your plan/ ideas so that I can best help you and save you organizational points in the end! Although some of the outlines are written in complete sentences, you do not have to write in complete sentences. AGAIN, do not pre-write the paragraphs. • Your essay must have at least five well-developed paragraphs. This is NOT a personal or narrative essay. That being said, you should not use 1st person (I, Me, WE, My, Our) or YOU. • It must have between 750 – 1000 words.
