Question.3784 - Module 8: Journal: Managing Conflict Student Name University NameCourse CodeProfessor Name Date Module 8: Journal: Managing Conflict Considering the insights from O'Donnell's (2022) article about the shortage of nurses leading to burnout and lower working morale reaching critical levels tends to influence both healthcare quality and the well-being of nurses negatively, the nursing sector requires over 200,000 newly registered nurses annually through 2030; while on the other hand, USA experiences a growing demand for nursing due to aging population, pandemic-related burnout, and higher turnout rates - demanding a sustainable solution: Firstly, there is need to emphasize on the revamping the existing care model like implementing virtual nursing, which will allow the nurses to tap into varied expertise while also experienced nurses nearing retirement to support both the stakeholders remotely through remote networking devices and storing the datasets in a centralized platform for quicker use of expertise information to tackle similar or frequently occurring scenarios (Tamata & Mohammadnezhad, 2023). Secondly, those hospitals experiencing a shortage of nurses or higher shift hours, like more than 10 hours, need to draft mitigation plans to address their burnout rate, which could be tackled by increasing the salaries, providing vacation packages with paid leaves, offering higher bonuses when compared to what the industry is paying and supporting their personal growth through student loan or repayment (Tamata & Mohammadnezhad, 2023). Third, expanding the in-house training intervention to expand the scope of learning for nurses in order to sustain learning alongside practical experience to attain more knowledge and simultaneously address the shortage of nursing faculty and revamping the education structure that draws in more nursing students by increasing funds in the healthcare educational sector (Tamata & Mohammadnezhad, 2023).?? Fourth, mentorship interventions at both the education level and the healthcare sector should be introduced to attract younger talents to nursing, wherein nursing programs need to focus on tapping into the attention of an early age to build a sustainable pipeline for future nurses (Tamata & Mohammadnezhad, 2023). Lastly, work on implementing more sustainable models like hiring nursing expertise from inter/intrastate or even oversees hospitals to alleviate the shortage of expertise who can bring unique skills and varied perspectives will get exchanged for patient care and to establish a collaborative model to diversify each other strengths in the healthcare workforce such that there is no burden through shortage of nurses, while at the same time providing supportive work environment coupled with recognition of their critical role in healthcare through rewards (Tamata & Mohammadnezhad, 2023).
